In chapter 4 Ryan, Delanie, and I set out to find if there is a corrilation between the number of people in a family and the number of cars the family owns. We collected a set of 50 data points, identified our explanatory variable and response variable and made a scatter diagram (plot) of our data. We then determined whether our scatter diagram shows positive, negative, or no correlation.
